Sanderson Farms / Alfred Dunhill PGA DFS Breakdown

The Ryder Cup was a beauty, with the USA smashing Europe 19-9. I figured Team USA would win, but to do it by that margin was extremely impressive. Unfortunately for our bets, DJ and Morikawa were dominant and that pairing stuck together throughout the event. As usual, golf never rests, and this week we have a weak field competing at the Sanderson Farms Championship down south. Across the pond, we have the Alfred Dunhill Links, an interesting event contested on a three-course rotation, with a 54-hole cut, and weather surely to be in play. This is one I’ll be monitoring tonight for optimal course rotation plays. You definitely won’t want players on Carnoustie when the weather is bad – that round alone would likely take them out of contention.

8/12 Preseason NFL Breakdown

QB:

Quarterback is pretty clear-cut on this slate with Heinicke, Hurts, and Mac Jones all clearly being the top 3 options. I will have one of these 3 in every lineup I make. It’s tough to decipher who the top overall play of this bunch will be. Hurts has looked horrible in Eagles camp and the plan is to get his confidence up. In an interview this weak the Eagles HC mentioned that he will play Hurts until he has a good drive. He specifically said that if he leads a 80 yard TD drive that he will be done after one series. His rushing upside is something that could break the slate, but he’s hard to fully trust. Heinckie and Jones are both expected to see 1.5-2.5 quarters of action. Both have the talent to break the slate. If you want to get cute you can play Haskins or Mullens.

RB:

The Steelers are extremely limited tonight at RB & WR. This makes Najee Harris & Jaylen Samuels two of the better plays at the position. It’s always tough to predict what Tomlin will do, but both did have a big role in the HOF game and that could grow with no Ballage and Snell. The Patriots RB’s are both very intriguing plays. JJ Taylor and Stevenson are both expected to carry a large load tonight. Bill is known to pound the run game in the second half of preseason games and I expect him to split the carries with these two guys. If you ever played CFB DFS I’m sure you remember Jamar Patterson and his 4 TD 200 yard per game averages. He makes for a very enticing play. Johnathan Williams is another WFT RB that I like here. Kenny Gainwell should see a pretty big workload for Philly and is a guy I like a ton skill wise. Huntley is the other Eagles back to keep an eye on.

WR:

With the Steelers being extremely banged up at WR Anthony Johnson comes in as maybe my top play on the entire slate. I wouldn’t be shocked if he played almost every snap. I will probably have 100% of him tonight. Dyami Brown is a guy who has been killing it in camp and was an absolute stud at UNC. He makes for a great play in all formats. McKoy and Simmons for the Steelers are the other two guys we want to look at. They have the thinnest WR group by a wide margin tonight. JJ Arcega-Whiteside is battling for a roster spot and should get ample opportunity to shine tonight. Quez Watkins is another elite option at WR that I love. Reager, Harry, Sims, Gandy-Golden, Olszewski, Wilkerson, Nixon, Ward, Fulgham, and Hall are some of the other guys in my player pool right now.

6/24 MLB Stacks & Rankings

Tonight we get perhaps to grossest pitching slate I’ve seen all year and arguably one of the best hitting slates I’ve seen all year. A majority of these pitchers are a near lock to get blown up. Buhler is the best straight up play, but he’s way overpriced. That leaves us with Garcia & Berrios. […]

8/13 NBA Breakdown for Fanduel & Draftkings

MIL vs MEM MEM JA Morant: One of the best plays on the slate. The Grizzlies are fighting for their playoff lives today. He should be in line for 40+ minutes here. Dillon Brooks: Brooks currently leads the Grizzlies in usage rate in the bubble at 27.4%. This is proabably why they’ve only won one bubble game.  He’s […]
